Paanchaali – For those who want to quit

What one can think, generally, when they hear the name "Paanchaali" (Draupadi)? Okay, to go by the sequence of her life,

a) an unwanted girl child

b) a cursed daughter

c) a wife of five

d) a victim of public humiliation etc

Don't you think, there were several reasons to give it all up at many points ?

Okay, if you don't believe they were real- you need not. Nobody knows whether the mythology is based on real incidents. But, we could appreciate those if they are true, and could appreciate more immensely if they are mere works of imagination. They are great examples to seek reference of. In either case, we can see a value in each small incident there and no-harm is no-bad!

I don't mean victims are always women and neither do I mean only women have strength to fight against all odds. Paanchaali is an epitome of courage. She needs to be looked at beyond the screens of gender.

This is how one can look at the most controversial wedding of Draupadi from a plain and naive angle:

She wedding the five is she wedding Honesty, Strength, Focus and lastly healing in its double power, where we heal our own self and heal another. That's simply what Dharmaraja, Bhima, Arjuna, Nakula and Sahadeva could mean for us. That's how she proved herself to be a warrior. Let us start looking at positive sides little by little :)Thank you!
